Reserving New Puppies

We want to know where our pups go and what type of home/lifestyle they will have, so if you decide you'd like to place a deposit for a Wingshot puppy we ask that you share your personal information with us. We are not trying to be nosey, but these breeds are not a match for every home. We do not accept a deposit without knowing information about the new owner...example: home/family info (work or school, children, current pets, fenced yard, etc), outdoor activities, plans for the puppy, your experience with raising a new puppy, how you know of the breed, etc. I do not use an "application", just tell us your info in an email .
**PLEASE NOTE: THESE ARE NOT BREEDS THAT SHOULD BE LEFT IN A CRATE ALL DAY WHILE THE FAMILY IS AT WORK/SCHOOL **
- GETTING YOUR PUPPY
PICK UP AT OUR HOME:
New puppies are usually ready for new homes on the weekend immediately after the day they are 7 weeks old. We refer to this as "puppy day" . We schedule each new puppy parent a time to come in the same order as their puppy reservation number. We try to make this day pleasant for everyone so we ask that you clear your calendar for this day. The puppy selections/ placements are made on this day. We do not require new parents to make their puppy selection before puppy day unless prior plans prevent you from being here on puppy day. In that case, new parents would "rate" the puppies #1 thru your reservation number. If you are reserving the "last puppy", we do not know which specific puppy it will be .... until puppy day. We understand that something may come up to prevent you from being here on puppy day , however, we charge an extra $50 to hold your puppy past puppy day ( unless you are flying, which will be at 8 weeks old ). In all cases, your new puppy needs to be in your home by 9 weeks old. When puppies leave us they suddenly have to get familiar with not seeing, playing or sleeping with its littermates....and the puppy will be looking for and needing someone to bond with....this should be you, the new parent, not us.
AIR TRAVEL :
New puppies must be at least 8 weeks old to fly , this age varies with different airlines.
If you want to fly with the puppy as a carry on, the new owner will fly into either Atlanta or Birmingham airport, we will meet you at the airport with the puppy and you fly back home the same day with the puppy in the cabin with you. You will make your selection from photos & video that will be sent to you. If you prefer to not travel back on the same day, you can rent a car , stay the night and fly back the next day.
Delta, United, Southwest Airlines & American Airlines accept puppies as a carry-on.
OTHER:
If both pick up at our home and air travel is not an option, we can occasionally make arrangements to deliver the puppy to you... or at least part way. The cost of delivery depends on how far we travel.
PLEASE NOTE : WE WILL NOT RELEASE YOUR PUPPY TO A "PET TRANSPORT COMPANY " unless you notify us in advance of you booking this transport . If something happens last minute that prevents you from being here on the scheduled puppy day, please contact us immediately . We will work out other arrangements to get your puppy to you. PLEASE DO NOT MAKE A PAYMENT TO A "PET TRANSPORT COMPANY " WITHOUT TALKING TO US FIRST.

Vizsla puppies are $1500.
Braque Francais puppies are $1850.
Along with your personal information, we require a $250. deposit to reserve a new puppy. At the time you make a deposit you need to specify if you want a male or female puppy. Many of our puppies are reserved before the litter is born. Since we do not know how many male/female puppies will be born, we accept a limited number of advance reservations. The deposit is non refundable & non transferable, unless there are not enough pups born to fulfill your reservation. We CAN NOT guarantee color of a puppy.
For DEPOSITS:
We accept personal checks or a bank certified check for payments to reserve a puppy. Make your checks payable to "Jeff Karnes". ($250.)
For the BALANCE:
For puppies PICKED UP at our home, the balance is due on puppy day. We do NOT accept payments by PayPal or other phone/internet payment. The final payment is preferred in cash .
For puppies DELIVERED to you: please make payment in cash.
LATE FEE:
If you will be picking up your puppy after the scheduled puppy day, please let us know asap so we can make other arrangements.... AND you will have a late pick up fee of $50, unless the puppy is waiting on a flight that will depart at 8 weeks old.

- OTHER INFO
After the puppies are born and as they grow I take photos and send out by email to keep the new parents updated on their progress. Sometimes I post photos on Facebook or Instagram but mostly I send the photos via email. Once the puppies start eating and playing I take video's and post on You Tube. I try to do this weekly. The puppies are handled, cuddled, played with, talked to , listen to music daily and have some visits from the grandgirls. They have toys to play with and during their last week here they are introduced to being in a crate with the door closed.
We provide 1st time puppy parents with a "puppy packet" which contains articles on various information ...examples: preparing your home; food, plants & things that are dangerous; tips on house training, socialization, nipping; health info, etc.
We also provide a health guarantee /purchase agreement which includes a 26 month hip guarantee.
You will receive a health record which will list the dates & types of deworming's, 1st vaccine and any other medicine given to the puppies.
Our puppies are fed Fromm Gold Puppy Food.
All of our adult Vizsla's are AKC registered . All of our adult Braque Francais are registered with NAVHDA and AKC FSS .
All litters will be registered limited with AKC, AKC FSS or NAVHDA registration, these are non-breeding registrations.
All puppies have their tails docked and dewclaws removed. We do not leave any tails full length.
All puppies are vet checked before leaving us.
